Education, the engine of communities

Education is the key to success. By increasing the learning capacity of African communities, we aim to improve the economic and social well-being of students and educators. The whole community benefits from shared knowledge and skills. In this way we at CLIC Africa aspire to make a lasting impact.

How do we make a lasting impact?

Setup of CLIC educational hubs

We provide the infrastructure and up to date IT equipment, which can be used or borrowed on site. Audiovisual material and a stable WiFi connection are also indispensable. Local IT staff and teams take care of the day-to-day operation of the educational hubs. The provision of all these materials is required to teach the knowledge and skills needed to apply for a job today.

Supporting educators and students

In our hubs, local teachers educate pupils, students and adults who want to expand their learning or retrain. Our educators are supported by a team of volunteer mentors who help them to enrich the existing curriculum and to set up new courses in function of the needs in the community, always aspiring to use creative teaching methods and up to date learning resources and materials. Our mentors will support and guide the hub’s staff and teachers remotely but also on site, so that they in turn can optimise the knowledge transfer to the hub’s students.

Building informed, skilled and confident communities

With the right materials and effective teaching methods, our hubs can make a substantial impact. They prepare young and adult students for a confident start, a boost or change in their career. More knowledge, skills, ambition and inspiration will lead to new jobs, more entrepreneurship and new opportunities in local communities. By promoting education in a creative way, communities can make a big leap forward.
About us

CLIC Africa – Creative Learning in Communities

Our focus is to set up and support educational hubs in African communities. Within these hubs, young people and adults can creatively develop and deepen their knowledge about specific topics. They also get the opportunity to learn new skills with modern and suitable materials and equipment. As a non-profit, we are based in Belgium, but we regularly travel to Africa to set up and support our projects on-site.
